Путем референдума могут быть решены следующие вопросы:
- принятие нового Закона Республики Кыргызстан;
- изменение или отмена Закона или его отдельных положений;
- утверждение решения о принятии новой Конституции Республики
Кыргызстан;
- выявление общественного мнения по иным наиболее важным вопросам,
находящимся в ведении республики.
На референдум не выносятся вопросы:
- о принятии чрезвычайных и неотложных мер по охране общественного
порядка, защите здоровья и безопасности граждан;
- вопросы, связанные с назначением и освобождением должностных лиц
Республики Кыргызстан.
