Основными целями настоящего Закона являются:
— сохранение, защита и развитие водного фонда Кыргызской
Республики, являющегося одним из главных источников водоснабжения
стран Центральной Азии;
— регулирование и регламентация принципов предоставления водных
ресурсов Кыргызской Республики заинтересованным суверенным
государствам на разумной и взаимовыгодной основе с учетом рыночных
экономических отношений.
