1. Для хранения рукописей ученых, деятелей литературы, культуры и искусства Кыргызской Республики, а также архивных материалов учреждений НАН и других материалов, представляющих ценность для науки и истории, в НАН создается научный архив.
2. Структура и порядок деятельности научного архива НАН устанавливаются положением, утверждаемым президиумом НАН.
