Киргизская ССР участвует в обеспечении безопасности и обороноспособности страны, оснащении Вооруженных Сил СССР всем необходимым. Обязанности государственных органов, общественных организаций, должностных лиц и граждан по обеспечению безопасности страны и укреплению ее обороноспособности определяются законодательством Союза ССР.
