1. Государственная водная инспекция является структурным подразделением Государственной водной администрации, обеспечивающим исполнение функций государственного надзора за использованием водных объектов и водных ресурсов Кыргызской Республики.
2. Руководитель Государственной водной администрации, в соответствии с занимаемой должностью, является главным государственным водным инспектором Кыргызской Республики.
