Настоящий Закон определяет правовые и экономические основы образования и деятельности кооперативов Кыргызской Республики и их союзов. Отношения, связанные с образованием и деятельностью кооперативов и их союзов, регулируются настоящим Законом и иными нормативными правовыми актами Кыргызской Республики.
