Дополнительное снаряжение пожарных (в том числе пожарные фонари, тепловизоры, радио- и звуковые, светозвуковые маяки, датчики неподвижного состояния) в зависимости от его назначения должно обеспечивать освещение места пожара, поиск очагов возгорания и людей в задымленной атмосфере, обозначение месторасположения пожарных и выполнение других видов работ при тушении пожара. При этом степень обеспечения выполнения указанных функций должна характеризоваться показателями, необходимыми для выполнения аварийно-спасательных работ при пожаре.
